OK then, my name is Michael A. Dyer (MAD, the Administrator of the website www.upsidebackwards.info and other blogs), I'm 30 years old and have lived in the Indy area my entire life. Back in the mid to late 90's (high school years) I was in a fairly popular band named 'UNDECIDED' who played all around and probably had a good 75 shows under its belt by the time we "imploded". In the short span of our musical escapades (about 3 years) we had 3 full length albums of good, decent, original material (about 40 songs), which is a lot more than most people can say for themselves before they've even reached 20 years old. Unfortunately, due to a variety of creative differences, alcohol and drug abuse within the band, and general "controlfreakism", things fell apart, beyond recovery, while working on new material for our 4th album. It was a good time, but generally, it was also some of the worst times of my life as well. Bitter sweet memories. Anyway, the compilation of music below is from those "UNDECIDED" years, while working as the lead singer and writer for the band. This was all mixed and mastered in a pretty professional studio (Rubber Room Recordings), so the sound quality isn't too shabby. Keep in mind some of this was recorded when I was 15 fucking years old! A lifetime ago! Still though, some of these tunes still hold up today, and I'm in the process of getting a more complete collection of the old material online. Hope you'll give it a listen and enjoy... Here's where "PHASE II" comes in, the years from 2000 to '09. Well, all I can say is, while there's a lot more creative freedom producing music by yourself, it's also much more difficult when you don't have the support and talents of band mates to collaborate with. But, sometimes it's better for your own sense of musical accomplishment to sever ties with people if you're no longer getting along on a friendly basis, and the entire process of music has become a great big jaded clusterfuck causing nothing but endless headaches and disappointment. The large chunk of the below material has been recorded in the past 5 years, on a very modest home studio, in an apartment with nosy neighbors who, shall we say, have inhibited me from doing what I need to do, while some of the material has been recorded as recently as the past 3 months. The sound quality isn't as good as those original "UNDECIDED" tracks, but what can you expect when you're working on a very low budget home studio? All in all, I don't think it's too bad, and I see the music I'm creating now as being ROUGH DRAFTS of material that needs a professional tweaking before it could ever be considered "complete". Anyway, the new one-man-band is called 'THE CONSCIOUS SLEEP PROJECT' and here are some of the songs I've been working on over the past few years. The radio station X-103 even played my latest track "CURSED" on a recent edition of their INDY X-FILES local show on Sunday nights, so that was a bit encouraging. Stay tuned, more material will be posted in the coming weeks and months! Thanks for giving it a listen. Oh yeah, one more thing... For those individuals out there who might happen to stumble upon this new "Crossroads Resonances" website, and remember me from back in those 'Undecided' music days. You're probably wondering, "damn dude, what the fuck ever happened to you? You just disappeared". Well, I assure you I didn't disappear, and have been running www.upsidebackwards.info , mad30.livejournal.com/ , mad30.dreamwidth.org/ , blackholesledge9.blogspot.com/ , verbalvortex.weebly.com/ , conspiraporn.weebly.com/ , and www.myspace.com/conspiraporn for the past several years. I've also conducted 50 original interviews with such well known personalities as rocker Henry Rollins, comedian Roseanne Barr, multiple Emmy winner Michael Moriarty (Law & Order), acclaimed comic book creator Erik Larsen (Savage Dragon), bestselling astrophysicist and professor Eric Chaisson, New York Times best selling author Greg Cox (Star Trek), multiple Bram Stoker award winning author Jonathan Maberry (current writer on Wolverine, Punisher, and Black Panther comics), award winning writer/director Adam Rifkin (Detroit Rock City), the head CEO of the Edgar Cayce A.R.E. Center, and literally dozens more which can all be found at the Upsidebackward's forum... www.upsidebackwards.info/forums/.... so yeah, I've just been here doing my thing all along. I'm always optimistic that the best days are ahead, not behind.

SinD! What was your favorite? Mine were 'Spherevoid' and 'Wicked Mirror'. I think 2 of my favorite gigs would had to have been up there with you guys in Bloomington, at 'Rhinos' and 'Legends'. That and the Emerson petting zoo fiasco would definitely be in the top 5. www.rhinosyouthcenter.org/www.bloomington.in.us/~legends/BTW, please check your email!

Umm, You know which one...I love Spherevoid among others (obviously) but that's my favorite up there. It's playing now. Legends is now "Roosters". Of course Rhino's is still kicking! The petting zoo @ the Emerson was my favorite. The Petting Zoo. Remember you guys making fun of me because I didn't know the difference between a baby sheep and a baby goat? What's the difference again? lol. Fountain Square was cool too! I got it. Your ball.

I honestly don't remember making fun, but I do remember sheep and goats and maybe some chickens and a donkey of some sort... Was happy that you guys came out! We played 'The Emerson' about 15 times or more. A lot of that has unfortunately blurred together over the years... :/

SinD Not quite sure. I do know how to choke a chicken, but petting? In other news, CONSCIOUS SLEEP PROJECT got another play tonight through the local's only show on X103, so that was pretty cool (especially considering the fact I missed the first time they played it, last month). Kinda neat hearing one of my tracks played on an actual radio station. Working on new material as we speak! Well, not really as we speak, but you get the point...

Exactly. I can choke anything. Maybe that's why I stayed away from chickens. Cool, I bet. ;D I took a tease pic of your collection...lol. Where is the evil smiley? dammit.
